Cats. Mine are very lucky that I love them so much or they would be chucked outside for destroying every piece of furniture in the house. Instead, I buy slipcovers and cover EVERYTHING, with varying degrees of success. This desk chair cover was one of the successes. It fits my chair very well - easy on, easy off for washing - and covers all the nicks, picks, and scratches in the original, fake-leather upholstery. It also makes my chair a lot more comfortable - the fake leather was so cold and I always felt like I was sliding out of the chair. This cover is cozy and plush, but without feeling hot and ‘sweaty’.It should be noted that the color I chose was very similar to the original chair color, so I can’t really weigh in on how see-through it might be if you’re wanting to change colors drastically. It seems like pretty decent color coverage, though. One very minor complaint - I wish they had used a zipper that matched the cover color. The big black zipper on a pale beige fabric is not the best choice.Also, I used a cheap little 2 lb, neoprene-covered dumbbell ($2.20 at Walmart) to keep the cover tucked where the seat meets the back; I just push it in between the back and seat - I’ve found this works MUCH better than those plastic strips they sell for this purpose and it’s cheaper, too.
