So it was an easy swap, just yanked the old wheels out and slapped these in. The little ring meant to keep them in place seemed like 1 mm too small in diameter because they went in a little too easily but what do I know they're gonna be on the floor the rest of the time so it shouldn't matter. they don't make a sound when rolling on wooden floors I doubt their gonna scratch them either. My only complaints are that A) the wheels should have been made a bit more round because they really struggle to switch directions because their like a blade. B) I wish that the locks weren't as loud you can probably hear them from across my house with the door closed, definitely loud enough to wake someone up.Had a height adjustable stool that was nice but used crappy plastic wheels which one kept popping off. I didn't want the bigger wheels so I got the smaller ones that had two wheels that lock. I now have a spare locking wheel and one on the still works well. I can lock the wheel and still pivot in spot. I use it in the garage on a concert with paint textured floor. Happy with my purchase!The product is a great improvement on the standard plastic wheels on the chair, but these still are a little stiff when rolling in carpet. , and the brakes levers hurt your feet when you accidentally hit them with your toes or heels.I thought these wheels were really nice. I missed the return date by 1 day. I was sitting on my office chair and suddenly my chair went forward and and slammed me into my desk. 1 of the wheels had broke. once I looked at the bottom of the chair, the wheel broke and broke my chair that was a $240.+ chair. So now I have to get a new chair too. It was a really costly set of wheels i would say!Glides effortlessly making no noise at all. The only thing is the two wheel locks at times unlock on their own, this is the only issue I have with these. Otherwise highly recommend!Replaced my old plastic casters with these and my office chair moves smoothly on my hardwood floors. These raised my chair up almost 2” but that worked for me as my chairs height is adjustable. The 2 wheels with brakes allow the chair to remain in the same place.
